This was such a fun session! Emily wanted her Maternity Photos done in two different segments,
it was more like Maternity Photos Two Editions with how many fun pictures we ended up with!

I LOVE this swimsuit beach session with Emily and her toddler, Georgia Rose.
It was the cutest and I almost died over every picture because it was SO CUTE,
and also because Emily looks so amazing pregnant that it seems like she should be a model!

We definitely had a wonderful time, since we are both FL natives and LOVE the beach!!

I’m pretty sure that as a photographer, some things can’t be explained about the pictures we take.
When we see the picture, we take it. In a sense, we make it together. Then we get home and we fall in love with what we’ve captured. Our emotions spill over and stories form in our minds and tears fill up our eyes.
For me, this picture reminds me of being held in my own Mama’s arms at this age,
walking home from the beach after a wonderful afternoon, sandy and tired and full of joy.

It means Home.
And that’s probably why I burst into tears when I saw it.
Home is a powerful thing. Don’t ever underestimate it as a comfort to your children.
Your Mothering to them reminds them they can trust you, and find a refuge in you.
As Mothers, you are their world, their peace, their solitude, their love, their giver, their safety.
Motherhood is such an honor to capture and portray,
and to give back images that hold those moments in time is my heart’s joy!!
