Big news for us in 2026! We are moving from Charlotte, NC to Adam's hometown of Omaha, Nebraska! It is WILD, I know. No one is more surprised than this FL girl!

Turns out when you pray for where God wants you to live and find a home for 18 months you can see it very clearly when you find it. We watched Wells with our family in Omaha with tears in our eyes and said "OH". There were tears when we left. On a car ride just the two of us we said "nothing tops family for us". We are just two small town kids who are longing to go back to quieter small (er) town life (that also doesn't have a half million $$ housing crisis). "The closer to a cornfield the better" is an actual statement I made in 2025.
Our dreams for Wells involve things we knew on our Omaha visit: big extended family dinners/visits, more time together that isn't just twice a year grandparent visits, it's football in the backyard with all the cousins, it's already having the support around us to raise a family after deep loneliness doing so much of it alone. So we are moving to the Heartland with big hate for tornadoes, and big love for lots of snow!

I never thought we'd leave Huntersville or our church, and saying goodbye to all our sweet friends has been so very hard! What a gift to be loved so well for the past 4 years! Please pray for us for bravery & peace as we move into a new season in a new place. "From one good season into a new good season".
And to my beloved clients, I will fly back every year to shoot family sessions (or any session) as long as you want me! Give me a date and I'm there. Thank you for being the best & hardest to leave!
"Whenever you find tears in your eyes, especially unexpected tears, it is well to pay the closest attention. They are not only telling you something about the secret of who you are, but, more often than not, God is speaking to you through them of the mystery of where you have come from and is summoning you to where...you should go to next." {Frederick Buechner}
With all our love,
- JM for our family
