End of the 2023 Season

"And with that, the 2023 season comes to an end."

I don't know if it's hard for anyone else but writing End of Year posts is so emotional for me! To hold both deep sorrow and great joy in open hands is hard enough but trying to sum it all up is far too daunting. So here's just a little letter.

I shot another out of state wedding this year which was the sweetest joy, and shot a few sessions here in Charlotte throughout the Spring & many more in Florida in the Fall.

Fun fact: I had a horrible migraine the day of that wedding and dressed FAR too warm (see photo) because I'd had "Jacksonville, NC" for my weather in the 30's and not "Jacksonville, FL" in the 70's. I was absolutely roasting. Bless my little heart and for a sister of the bride giving me a hair clip to put my hair up, haha.

This year we lost our beloved firstborn daughter after 2.5 years of infertility. And we joyfully and excitedly look forward to our dear second born baby, our little boy, due in May of 2024. I've been so grateful this year that in the past decade so many clients have become such sweet friends. The outpouring of messages, cards & gifts sent from all over the United States (including Hawaii) when we lost our baby girl this year was the greatest comfort & light in heartbreaking days.

And now there are hundreds of the kindest most joyful comments between Instagram & Facebook rejoicing with us over our little baby boy due in 2024. It's enough to make me cry every single time.

You all have been the BEST community this year. Thank you thank you a million times from the bottom of my heart for loving us so well. It truly has been such a great gift. Kindness & love is never wasted.

Happy New Year my friends!! To all God will do; we praise Him.
