December 3, 2017 ~ Titusville, Florida ~ Family Session: The Flakes
This family won the award in 2016 for most sessions booked in a year: 3! Maternity, newborn & family!
It’s only 3 months into 2017, and we’re setting up another session. What can I say, when you inspired
(coughkickedmeintoitcough) me to start my own business, you take full advantage and become the best clients. At least, that’s what Ashley did. I’ve shot their family photos for 3 straight years now and it’s always a blast.
Then we laughed and ran in the dusk back to the car where Ashley & Charles & Asher were waiting.
Sometimes I feel like I’m a kid too…getting to do the best job ever…create something new every time…
and explore the world through a kid’s eyes all over again, and that’s certainly true with the Flake kids.
As I said my goodbyes, I got hugs with “Merry Christmas-es” and felt so blessed and loved.

At the end of the session I asked A & E where they wanted to take their own solo shots, and E says
“I saw just the place!”, and we went wading off into the scrub brush. “Hopefully there aren’t snakes in here…” I said….
knowing full well there are tons of snakes in there, but hoping not the poisonous biting ones, haha.
I have no idea how he saw this from the trail, but he led us to this beautifully burned out stump…
and so that’s where we took their solo portraits. Bam. Perfect. Solid magic. I love these kids.
