2016 Year in Review!
I love these End of the Year Reviews, because I remember how much I LOVE MY CLIENTS.
They bring me so much joy and laughter and I’m truly blessed to have such a wonderful job!
In 2016:
I shot 27 sessions with:
20 sessions of Family/Maternity/Newborns/Solo/Couples
3 Freelance Pro Bono Events/Mentoring
2nd Shot 3 Weddings
Shot my 1st wedding as primary
Traveled to 2 countries: China & England!
Fulfilling many dreams and hopes and prayers!
Not to mention being Maid of Honor in my sister’s wedding in April
& logging who knows how many flying hours!
You’ll notice I didn’t quite stick with the normal “one picture per session”. Yeah, I broke the rules.
Beauty should never be limited, and it’s hard getting it down to just one!
So enjoy this LITTLE look at my 2016 year, man, it was so so so amazing.
A few days before I traveled to China, the Shoot & Share Contest results came out,
and these two following images placed in the top 100 of the Maternity Category
out of 360,000 images from all over the world!! SUCH a huge honor.

You might notice this last couple….who finished out last year’s review too. They’re some of my favorite people.
YES, they are pregnant. I’m going to be an Auntie!! It’s too wonderful for words. Baby C is due March 2017!
One note about China…I traveled there to work in a special needs orphanage. It had been my dream since I was 12! As a photographer, I saw my photos bring tears to their adoptive parents. I knew held their babies before they did. It was a holy experience and completely changed my heart and world. I miss China and the orphanage every single day! As much as I’d LOVE to share photos of those precious kids on here, I chose to protect those images & people! for a little longer. And YES, I’M GOING BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
To England too. Shannon and I fell IN LOVE with England. So just know….we’re available to travel. 😉
Goodbye, 2016. Hello 2017!!! SO MUCH LOVE to all my clients who entrust me with capturing their lives,
& honoring me with the great gift of seeing your love for each other & be remembered in photographic form.
