Solo Portrait Session: Paulina

March 2, 2015 ~ Winter Park, FL ~ Solo Portrait Session: Paulina

Meet one of my best friends of all time: Paulina. 🙂 We’ve been friends for 17 years!
I was SO excited when she e-mailed me a few weeks beforehand and asked if I would have
an availability to shoot a few “med school/on my way to residency” photos
and a solo portrait session, and I immediately was like “YES. PLEASE.”. 😉
I’ve always loved taking pictures of this vibrant, vivacious, spunky, sassy, gorgeous friend of mine.
This was basically a dream come true, and we had such a wonderful and hilarious time walking
around Park Avenue in Winter Park. I loved every second, and I love these pictures so much!
Between her brilliant mega-watt smile, halo of brown curls, easy going personality, great sense
of humor, it was so easy to take pictures of her, and the fact that we have 17 years of stored up
inside jokes, we never ran out of things to laugh about.

I think the only time Paulina froze and panicked was when I stood on a ledge on the
5th floor of a parking garage and held myself steady by wrapping my leg around a bar.
In hindsight, it probably was a (really) stupid idea. But I’m still alive, so boom baby.
Paulina and I’s conversations are so very us: I’m enthusiastic and overdramatic,
she’s bluntly hysterical and so vibrant. I laughed the whole evening until I cried.
This session was such a blessed time together to catch up and enjoy taking photos!
Best friends are forever.  Afterwards we went to Shake Shack (which we only talked about 82 times on our shoot), and then we drove home in the dark singing along to 80’s songs (dramatically & with great feeling). It was one of my favorite times we’ve ever had (and we have had sooooo many). Thank you SO much, Paulina!!! I’m so proud of you, and so thankful to have you in my life! Love you, babe.
